Pixel 8 Pro launch on October 4: Everything we know about new Google phone so far:

Google will launch its new-gen Pixel 8 Pro on October 4. The new Google smartphone will come nearly a month after the launch of the latest iPhones 15 and 15 Pro models. Ahead of the official launch, Google has already teased the design of the Pixel 8 Pro model, which resembles the old-gen Pixel 7 Pro model with a few tweaks. That's likely because Google does not want to shift the focus away from its first Pixel Fold that launched earlier this year. However, we can expect a slight performance gain with a new chipset, Tensor G3, onboard. Google has teased a Porcelain white colour option, though the Pixel 8 Pro may also receive a black variant.

The Pixel 8 Pro has been a part of the rumour mill for a while as well. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the new Pixel phone features a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz LTPO OLED display with a tiny hole-punch cutout for the 11-megapixel selfie camera. The back may include three sensors - a 50-megapixel OIS-enabled primary camera, a 64-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 49-megapixel telephoto. A new time of flight (ToF) sensor may also help with improving focus. However, the rear cameras will be housed in a long pill-shaped cutout, though the rear camera bar remains. The phone will likely feature a mix of glass and metal, similar to the Pixel 7 Pro of last year.
